Wink Best buy...

was the superbly documented "babied" 'gold '70. Very, very nice example of an original car with one repaint for $35k. Original paperwork with Protect-O-Plate, every factory bulletin and every r/o for its regular service visits to the dealership. I'd call that an A+ in documentation. Car was a bargain in my book. Ron

My thoughts exactly, Ron. Also what was wrong with the red 67 vert that I didn't see? Low 50's? Looked like an excellent example to me and 4 speed to boot. Seller claimed all documentation, protectoplate, etc. Maybe it was the day it was sold, but I thought it was 15-20k short.

And how about the idiots calling Carousel Red on the Judge as Orbit Orange? I thought about emailing, but it was so late I doubt they would get it; and probably wouldn't correct theirselves if they did.

there were bargains on sunday.... BUT WHY???? WHY???? WHY???? NOT HAVE PHS $60 could have brought an additional 15-25K to that 69 JUDGE.
They called it fricken orbit orange to boot & cant fricken someone check the dates & paint codes????? CHRIST, it just pisses me off that they can go over every fricken nut & bolt & code on a fricken over priced MOPAR or chevy... & completely clueless on pontiacs........

the 70 GTO was a steal...................
the NEW owner of the 69 JUDGE has an overpriced clone or a very nice affordable judge.

I JUST DONT GET IT.... i think BJ owns these pontiacs & just lets them go...... OH WELL........

VERY FOOLISH

Jerry,

That 67 GTO vert very was a great looking car and $52,000 was a steal. Red/Parchment 4spd absolutely stunning. Just as good as the Blue '65 3x2 4spd vert that sold on Tuesday for $67,000.

What kills me is the announcers including supposed guru Steve Mangante said "nicely optioned car with Rally I wheels and everything except tri-power" It was a '67 with Rally IIs !!

This guy knows the factory interior code for a red '55 T-Bird by heart but doesn't know that you couldn't get Tri-Power on a '67 Goat.

What's even funnier about that is only about a minute before that he mentioned that tri power was no longer available in '67.

Jim Mattison was out there for the week helping to authenticate cars. I told him to make sure they knew that we were a little disapointed with there treatment of Pontiacs in general - he said he was already planning on it!

It appears it worked, at least in their coverage on TV. They didn't skip on any that I know of. There were a few that were auctioned before and after the show started and ended, but I think they televised most all of the others. Now if we can just get some more QUALITY cars there. Too many average cars vs. the very desirable Pontiacs. Was there even one Ram Air IV car? Or a true documented early tripower convertible besides the 66?
