I think you should leave the interior parchment. That car is a good find. I am suprised to see that it has the optional wood wheel.
Now please tell us why the 65 2+2 is your dream car??

Stop! No way! You can't beat a white interior. Especially if it's leather. Keep it white and paint the body lipstick red or whatever you want. Just keep the interior white, at all costs.
Can you show us the instrumentation and console?

GT182: lol I like hot "too hot to handle..."...
my white interior used to be white but isn't anymore... it has those brown/grey areas so I don't think it will clean up so easily... It will not be as white as new one. But you're right. I will be like a bacon when I'm cruising around

I bought this car from California and I live in northern europe.

goatmanmitch: wow that car looks Great! very beautiful. actually it got me thinking should I keep my white interior... BUT I'm still more into a black interior... becouse I think fontaine blue or any other light blue car with white interior looks kind of too mild/lame and alm. this is a car with power and attitude and is more like a race/sport car so I scare that white interior makes it look mild and tame. with black interior it will look more cool and wicked :-P

But I may be wrong!!! and I know I AM wrong with this opinion.... I just scare it will look mild...

and Andre: it's a long story. oh boys. I don't know HOW I can say it. it will be so long text if I write it,so let's say only this: I've always loved big boats with big power and I think this 2+2 is the mother of them all!(my opinion)
Yep,first time when I saw a '65 2+2 I was totally wowed. It was rusted badly,it had large holes and grass was growing from it but I felt in love. I love everything on it. It's a perfect (only my opinion). I have always loved it,always wanted it and never wanted any other car. I love all pontiacs. but this is my Mr. Right.
I could write a whole book why this is my dream car,but I don't have a time to write a book and my english isn't good enough

Well if you decide to keep it white, then you should know that if the interior is not torn up, you can restore it to its beautiful white color using vinyl dye. I had to do that with my '64 GTO.
PS- that wheel is an easy fix!

I'd try to get a dashboard from a '66 model, if still possible:

You could always restore the steering wheel, or replace it with a 65-66 Grant Wood Wheel.

I'm not touching the "hot" comment. LOL I knew a lady from Europe and she was "hot", in more ways than one. And I miss her.

yeah,european women are hot lol
OK it was offtopic.

well I will keep my interior white and maybe later put a black interior becouse it's so easy to buy an upholstery kit from Ames and that's it.
Now I will save up money, keep the white interior, clean it and maybe fall in love with this WHITE interior lol. even though I "scare" white interiors.

Be sure and ad lead additives to the engine.
Sounds like you found a car in good original condition, which is a find.

yes, ofcourse. I use 98E fuel (better to use than 95E) and in addition to 98E fuel I use lead supplements.

Only if you don't use the seatbelt or lock the door before driving recklessly

I like the ones who fall down the stairs- and get hurled naked from cars, if they could do it without getting hurt. I haven't any use for a NAKED woman in a body cast
