Hey - Those look pretty good.
Can you post info as to how to get them? Thanks, Tony.

I have spent a lot of time to find this part but i think it is the closest part available . I purchased it from Zip product , it is from a corvette supplier part # is SU - 1148 63 =67 15/16" F41 . I am now seeking any info on a lead for a correct 64 GTO clutch rod through firewall boot . The chevy repo. is incorrect . Any leads on a nos or good used 1 is appreciated . Thank you

You can copy and paste the two Zip.com links to your browser that I provided in post 14 and it will take you to the parts, both the 3/4" and the 15/16" ones.

Sway Bar Bushings
I didn't mean to resurrect this old post, but I'm having a very hard time finding the correct sway bar bushings.
The one on the left is the original (I think) next to the bracket; next is the one in this post that was supposed to be NOS; and last is the one the end of the post finally said was correct. I think I've spent way to much time looking for these and certainly too much money. As you can see the replacements do have the rise in the center, but are either not wide enough or don't fit at all. I've tried our sponsor and got something not even close and the local part store (NAPA; Bennett; etc.). Can anyone help with this?

Terry - Did you try to go to the "zip" link as John V. mentioned in post 14?
I never did that yet, but if you review those posts you'll see that the guys thought they were pretty good. Regards, Tony. |

Yes, that's the one in the picture all the way to the right.

Terry, just to be clear, the one all the way to the right was purchased at NAPA or Zip-Corvette.com?
If from NAPA, you need to cut and paste the web address for Zip-Corvette.com that I posted in #14 and paste to your browser. It is not a clickable link in the post (not sure why, but it works if you copy & paste it). There are two addresses, one for each size of bushing. If the one you got IS from Zip-Corvette.com, I'm fresh out of ideas. Which is a bummer, because I figure I'll eventually need a source also. |

Sway Bar Bushings
For what it is worth, when you finally source the bushings and ready to install, apply some silicone grease between the bushing and the sway bar. I failed to do this on the initial install and every time I backed out of my driveway and made a hard right or left it sounded like my car was 'passing gas'.

No, I'm sorry to say the one on the right is from zip. I'm all out of ideas.

Terry, is I possible that the original was squashed down over the years and "spread" out?
Might possibly the one from Zip be dimensionally correct for a new bushing? Or are they definitely too narrow? Was scanning thru ebay listings, noted some similar looking bushings offered by Prothane for a '64 up AMC application, 3/4", 13/16", & 7/8" bar diameters. Has anybody checked with Prothane to see if they have a match? |

I have the ones from Zip on my 64 the fit is good , no noise from them as they are not real tight to the bar when mounted but work excellent . Until something else is made or discovered this is the closest we have .

The ones from zip will fit in the bracket but will just not fit to the edge of the bracket. I don't know if that is sufficient though...

Mine seem fine car handles nice , no squeaks either . You can always swap them later .
