74 SD455 formula,i don't doubt your car ran 13.30's at all. That was the SD was built to do.But to compare a 4X headed 455 with a 067 cam being a 455 SD had a better cam, slightly more compression of course it's going be faster.I bought a 455 out a 73 Granville 455 from a junkyard and installed a RA IV camshaft,it ran really well considering it was pretty worn out.I probably could have gotten mid 13's with some tuning and great track conditions as it did run 8.90's in cool night air.

Wow - What a beauty.
Question - Did the formulas come with the screaming chicken on the rear spoiler?

It was an option as well as the Chicken on the hood of the SD-455 Formula's,but I'm sure someone here will argue that. I do not have that on mine, but I do know of one that does and have seen the build sheet....

Your Formula has a Hood Bird on it?

No mine does not, however there is an SD Formula here in Wisconsin that does and it's on the build sheet. It is one of the 17 stick cars built and it's not in the registry.

Steve Hamilton owns a red 74 SD Formula that has the hood bird on it. With the shaker that came on SD Formulas, it looks like a T/A. I believe it has dog dish hub caps too!

I'd be interested in seeing the build sheet or PHS for an SD Formula equipped with a hood bird. Not that it couldn't have happened, I'd just like to see factory documentation to support it.

Remember guys, it had the shaker hood, not the dual scoop!

Call Steve Hamilton,I'm sure he'd share that info with you.As for the guy here I can tell you that he has no interest in sharing anything with anyone.
