Do you have any of the 52,000.00 ones out there? I've yet to see one. I'll take a 1LT for that price, I don't care how basic it is.

Its like buying a giant color printer. The printer cartridges are where the real money is made for the manufacturer and dealers.

Keith, are every Vette brake calipers color-matched to the body color, or are are they supposed to be yellow like the nearest in your photo?

If I were to buy a C7, it would have to look dead on like the C7R

In a few years C7s will start showing up in the used car market, and you just know some of the ads will say, "never seen snow!"

35 years.

Mostly vehicle assembly and product design/development.

I did the design for the GMT800 engine air induction system (still in use).

Also did engineering management of full vehicle programs (start to finish) for
2011-2014 Chevrolet Volt and 2012/2013 Opel Ampera
2009 & beyond H2
2008 H2 MCE
2007 GMT9xx SUV Major
2003 GMT800 Pickup MCE
2002 GMT820/830C Cadillac Escalade
2001 GMT820/830D GMC Denali

Launched new product and supported current product in 10 different GM assembly plants.

Worked development at both the MPG and DPG (7 years total).

Wrote the original engineering program plan for what became the Hummer H2.

Currently doing design/release of the Underbody Structure for the 2016 K2xx programs and GMT610.

Dad worked for GM for 32 years before me in Manufacturing and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. I've been going in and out of GM facilities since I was 8 years old...

Sorry - that was probably a bit more detail than you needed for the comment you were about to make.

That would be a long walk for him if he parks over there (lol). That particular structure is on the other side of the tracks, on the Research side of the Tech Center.

The parking deck we use for the VEC and the one he is thinking of is behind me as I was taking this photo.

Here is a great video with the engineers who designed the new Z06 with the Z07 package.

625+ HP "With room for development"
635+ LB Ft Torque (more than the ZR1)
400+ pounds of down force
Under $100K

Correct, sir - you are absolutely correct.

I go past there (at least) twice per day almost every day.

Keith,

I remember a thread you posted in regarding the volt. I was thinking you had input there as well..I have to say you are one interesting guy. All that and your drag racing interests with your chevelle take you off the chart!

Very cool indeed.
