I'm liable to be ostracized at the V8Buick board for typing this, but dang, those contours and moldings along the fenders and doors on the '68 and '69s are just wrong. I'm glad my parents got a '70 back in the day.

I'm with you there...the rear deck/bumper/taillight area is pretty bad too.

Yes, hideous is about the only word I can find. I understand some folks love them, they are different from the other GM A bodies. But that doesn't make it right.

Hey Buick was an old mans car (an old man who couldn't afford a Caddy ), or a bankers car - to me nothing say stadgy old banker than those body lines!

Yuck.

1970 on the other hand - yes please!!

The round side marker light indicates that to be a 68.
I think the vent windows have been removed.

My brother has a 69 (his first car in 1978) and I like the lines of it, and the scarcity of those cars. (I would take it over a Chevelle anyday)

Now that we are on Buicks Agree on the vent windows. They took the windshield frame hardware along with them.

Girlfriend after high school had a 69 Skylark. Always did like the body style for some reason. Big sideswoops and curved ass end. Reminiscent of older styling. Buick was late to the muscle game for sure. All that changed with the restyling for 1970. They hit one out of the park with the 455 where performance is concerned.
