I've noticed this on other ended auctions when searching certain items, they show the original item in the summary but when you click on it again you're taken to a current but different similar auction. I hadn't seen the photos in the description section - too old school depending on the ones in the main window for reference.


See what you are saying now and agree, price needs to be in the 20's but still would get a lot of attention if you just wanted to vacuum & go to a cruise or show.

The gold car was at the Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge show this past weekend and I looked at it a good bit. Should have taken some pics but didn't. It's a pretty clean car in my opinion and if I had the room and enough funds for another car I'd be in on it. I think its a good $27- $30k car.

I brought the Granada Gold car at Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge this past weekend for a friend of mine who owns the car. The car does have some serious rust in the fenders, the doors are much better than the fenders, the trunk floor only has a small spot by the wheel arch on the left side, the tail panel is nice, the package tray has never been wet and is in great condition, the rear quarters only need a small amount of work. The wheel lips on the quarters are solid, the outer wheel houses need work on bottom rear. The windshield leaks a little and probably needs some channel repair. The engine runs great and sounds good. The transmission is tight and shifts smooth. The ignition lockout and key buzzer work like they should. Overall it is a decent car. I wish I had room for it.

If anyone has any questions about the car, I’ll try to answer them.

Wouldn't go as far as say the Granada Gold RAIII 4spd Judge is a $6500 parts car, but with that much rust damage & even 25K + final & shipping expenses, it sure wouldn't be taking up a minimum of 8 x 17 ft in my building, OR in just about anyone else, that I personally know, that is very serious about this era of Judge or RA GTO.

As far as being a "crime to restore it" disagree with the "crime" part! but sure wouldn't be a good financial outlay! Given a buyer with a nice pair of used correct dated fenders, most likely a nice pair of doors, whatever it takes to meticulosly metal repair the lwr 14's, the trunk floor(?), it is minutely possible that if one could mix the right tint of Granada gold lacquer paint. Then and only then, maybe... that pair of front fenders could be paint matched, as well as lower rear 1/4's. That stated, we all have a good idea the rust damage is much more extensive. Even if was able to end up with a very presentable Granada gold body with, let's say, 75% being original paint, the under body and frame have got to have been ravaged by the Northern rust. Just an evolving project/money pit that some fool bought! enamored by, lol, "patina". No delusions here!

I have to agree with some of your comments pinhead... There is a lot of rust on this car and who knows what effect this has had on the frame and underbody without taking it apart. However, an unmolested car like this is a goldmine of information for restorers. With all the miss information floating around the internet where about 80% or more is fiction, a car like this can end many arguments, or it should. So few of these left anymore and with all the restored vehicles out there, few are correct to how the factory put them together. I still remember the great vinyl smell of an original interior that Legendary would never be able to duplicate. If this Judge was a clean southern car with its entire original power train intact, it would go for top dollar. An original RAIV car with its power train intact would be six figures provided the car is documented well.
