Whats the compression? I would assume its gonna be low for an NA application due to the goal of the blower being added

I based my estimate on the 12.5:1 in his post. Stan

I went down to the machine shop today and we started it. It busted right off and sounded lazy...timing light showed 5 degrees of timing. We have it locked so we bumped it up and it’s no longer lazy...sounds like a complete animal! Let it run 1400-1500 rpm for about 25 minutes and shut it down. Tomorrow morning we go in and re-torque all of the head studs, start it and get it to operating temp and then shut it off to check lash and then we start making pulls.

A lot of variables that go into a cam selection... basic knowledge calls for more exhaust lift... duration is good in my opinion but lift is shy...you don't want a lot of overlap and spent exhaust getting in the mix...
Again, if your builder has experience with roots blowers, you're good ... he looks att all aspects... Roots are different than Pro chargers, turbos and nitrous... closest relation will be nitrous.. I look forward to the results... im gonna say 830hp on nuts.. |

Very nice! It really liked 40° timing? What fuel was used?

We tried 38 and it lost a few HP. Plug straps were perfect at 40. We used my Grid ignition and Q16...

Didn't realize you were running Q16. You running it in the car like this or blower going on?
