I and many others also made a simple phone call on that BG SD. Here's what I got back. Stamp was pretty ugly, Intake was a 74 X, PCV setup wrong and Heads MIA. So I ask for pics of casting numbers, dist. hole etc. Seller says he cant locate them lol. They're usually cheap for a reason.

BTW, the widow knows the heads are in the garage someplace and when she finds them, those will be coming to join it too.

Lol Lol You just don't like being called out on that stamp Mr.Know it all. The EUN is ridiculous look at the 7's & 9's and obviously out of sequence. If I wanted the car I would have given him his price. Never made an offer as it wasn't an original motor car. Going back to my cave now to much drama here.

Good looking engine compartment. My only critique is that the M/C should be black. They were not left raw cast iron and they were not painted grey. They were semi flat black......no question about it.

Here's what he got - SR Super Duty 490132 block with the XD, the VIN and what can only be the original EUN on it, 1112205 3A22 big gear distributor, the LS2 X intake that pre-dates the build of the car and a service replacement carb. Alex seems to think the car was at or owned by Purely PMD at some point & was in several magazines which would explain the reproduction window sticker saying Albuquerque, NM and the PHS saying Wisconsin. Whether the block was installed by a dealer and the numbers transferred over or at Purely PMD, we don't at this point know but hopefully after going through the reams of documentation that came with it, something will come up. If anyone has any of the old HPP magazines with the Brewster SD on them please let us know. Here's the EUN codes for your reference (not sure why you thought it was out of sequence) you'll see if falls perfectly in line with the others. http://www.wallaceracing.com/sd-73-sorted-eun.htm I've also included some pics - Thursday night around midnight when we were in there checking it out, a well greased casting number, the distributor, engine compartment and a nice shot of Cortney Hansen with the car. The car is stupid clean with perfect rear wheel wells & spot welds, underside, floors, drops, and rear rails. It's been undercoated (probably from Wisconsin) and that will be coming off - should be some pretty nice red oxide under that. The new owner was VERY happy with his purchase.

I can never understand how a high dollar restoration can be done and they have that engine turned dash with the RTS emblem on it?
(even looks like it might have the correct glove box door?) To me that sticks out like a sore thumb and is worse than a 1970 Formula with the rear spoiler. Car looks great otherwise.

Is it really a top quality restoration? No pix of much to prove it. IMHO

I probably shouldn't have said 'high dollar', just a restoration.
When they say numbers matching, blah, blah, blah, makes me wonder about the work on it when something like the dash is glaring out at you. Especially when it's a 'low mile' car, why does it need anything?

Has 2 RTS emblems... Sits up like a field car... Wheels don't look to be painted correctly... wrong trim rings.
Whats the switch on the shifter bezel? Wish the paint on my SD was that nice.
