That makes it all the more interesting in that so much of it appears to be Pontiac specific. I guess that settles which division was considered the performance division by then..

If you ever see a picture of me like that you'll know it was shopped.
I wouldn't be able to get out of the house without getting something on those white pants. K

Man I love seeing those cragars in the shop. I remember buying Blems in the 80s for about $20 a wheel at PCA think regulars were about $36 hard to remember the prices but it was cheap. Cragar SS were kinda falling out of favor compared to weld wheels but I still loved that look. All my birds have had cragar SS wheels and most had 15x4s up front. Wish I’d kept every set .

Wow, those pictures of Woolco are a blast from the past for me. I worked at our local Woolco for a few years while going to community college ('74 - '77) first as a sales associate (fancy word for stocking shelves and doing all the grunt work), then back in the shop doing light mechanical work (so much more fun...tires, tune-ups, oil changes, exhaust, etc.). When it was slow, the manager would let us bring in our cars to work on them and use the lifts. I recall our prime competition was K-Mart, Sears, & J.C. Penny auto centers.
My two favorite memories were 1) working on a fathom green 300 hp 327, M-20, 3.31 '65 Corvette roadster that the younger owner offered to sell for $1000 and was in pretty good shape...I passed (idiot!), and 2) a car full of teenage girls would drive by and 'moon' us fairly regularly one summer in the late evenings, so we were ready for them one time with the air powered grease gun and let them have it all across their behinds...gosh, that was fun!
