Danny is like a liberal. He points to the SINGLE negative review instead of looking at or even acknowlging the other 3 POSITIVE reviews by the other 3 major automotive magazines.

Maybe that's why the Highway Patrol is buying them at fleet prices...

I find it very hard to believe that a Pontiac dealership would have not heard of the GTO.

Personally, Nick, I wouldn't doubt Goatman on that, in our other thread (pontiac dealers could care less...), it is painfully obvious that Car salesman could care less about cars, only selling whatever is on the lot to make some $!! around here however, the dealership should receive a total allotment of 15 GTO's, and right now 12 are confirmed pre-order's, one already received, and sold.

Well, if your a car dealer and you know nothing at all about the products you sell, you shouldn't be in business at all. Those "Pontiac" dealership's that "claim" they haven't heard of the new GTO are obviously living on Mars or lying.
I guess I'm lucky that our local Pontiac dealer not only knows about the product, but also supports the classic Pontiac owners around here by holding a POCI show every year.

How come Pontiac isnt advertising the car. Ive only seen the one commercial 2 times. No dealers have banners, posters or pictures of it anywhere. Seems like the same thing they did to the F body.

1. only 25% have been built.
2. Only 10% are actually in the country at certain dealers.
3. Dealers should have literature already. If they don't, then most of it is gone already. Go online to find it. www.gto.com
4. LOTS of GTO's have already been sold. You have to be living on mars or udner a rock if you haven't heard of the new one. And if your dealer or salesmen haven't, do you really want to buy a car from them anyway?

Really? Are you a dealer? My dealer has lots of info on it. They have 4 on order to be delivered in January. A Red, Impulse Blue, Yellow and Black one. Two are already sold, the Black one to a lady in NY and the Yellow one to a local guy. I was there today and my buddy gave me a new brochure and the Sales Consultants guide on how to sell the new GTO. They also had a huge poster on their wall. I asked if I could have one and they gave me one. It seems this dealer is in tune with what's new at Pontiac. Apparently in Texas they are a little backward.

Yes I would like their phone number. That way I can tell them they should be selling hotdogs on a corner somewhere instead of cars. Never heard of the GTO? I hope you haven't bought a car from them.

All I have to say is this:
My Dad works with both GM and Ford doing some of their interior work (mostly headliner materials) and a few other things. He doesn't make anything you guys see, but he does alot fo the behind the scene stuff.
He recently went out to dinner with some folks from GM and they totally ripped the car apart. He says that they think the car is awful (naming it a GTO), it looks horrible (on the outside), and they had no idea what the higher ups were thinking doing the car this way.
I know the car performs well. I know GM will sell every one they build.
But it still looks like a Toyota Paseo to me....

Dan, Chris and I go all the way back to high school. I have nothing to prove to him. He and his dad have always been good friends to me and if he says something, than I believe it.
