The December 2023 issue of Hot Rod magazine that Tim mentions is currently being mailed out to subscribers. In it is another article featuring the Chevrolet Performance 1,004hp ZZ632 Big-block.

That December article is very similar as this piece here:

https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/ex...t-performance/

"When Chevrolet decided to build the ZZ632, it expected to make around 50 of them. Well, demand for the engine was a bit more than expected and at the time of this story Chevy had orders for well over 300 of them, including the 50 engines for the sold-out COPO Camaro program."

As previously mentioned it can be purchased at Summit Racing Equipment.

Kept logs books, raced every weekend .you can think what you want that’s a typical year every guy in my group I race with makes that amount of passes. Some years it would be 180. When we go to an event we race 2 or 3 classes. And sometimes gamblers race. . If it’s. Saturday or a Wednesday it’s a TT and round Robin! We aren’t driving to E town 3.5 hours away and running one class. More passes equals more data .

Now that I have 2 kids I don’t race that car at all I drive the Tesla up click off 10 flat and let it drive me home. Much easier than loading a truck and trailer up and spending the weekend on - hot track instead I’m in my boat at the shore . I make passes at the airport on the runway now w that car it’s like my private drag strip

Apparently people still have money to burn. It is tempting though as these crate engines keep getting better and better, and BBC's have always been pretty good at making HP along with durability.
