Switches below dash pad were power antenna, rear defroster and speaker. Don't quote me on the correct order.

No, it is to the extreme left next to the right of the dash tach. I think it says (left to right) off seat heater on. It's very hard for an old man such as I to read it, so don't quote me on it.

On my '65 Bonnie Convert we had (from a '55 Chevy) a vacuum operated cigarette dispenser that sucked the butt into a tube and shot it into a glass filled water bolted onto the inner fender well. Really neat.

Anyone ever hear of it?

Okay... I see it now in the picture but I cannot make out the what it says on the face of the control. My issue of the 66 AC Manual is a reproduction and not the best one at that. The words are hard to make out in many areas and some of the wiring diagrams, especially in the ATC section, are nearly impossible to make out!

MP,
That Vacuum gauge was only available in the canadian Pontiacs. American cars had it on the console. They are pretty cool. nice find. Does any one know if they made a similar one for 1966 with a square pod? Jeff

That's what I've learned as well. I had one guy email me from this forum or the CP forum that has the little gauge on his non-consoled GP. I think back then there were no absolutes for a lot of stuff. I've always wondered if a square one was produced for the 66 CS, but it seems like there's not a lot of information on the Canadian Pontiacs or literature for them. Does anyone have a 65 or 66 Canadian Pontiac Options booklet?

I recently picked up an nos (in the box) spare wheel lock system for 1966 ... mentioned in the accessory brochure. Has anyone seen one before?

I've never seen one beyond the illustration in the accessory brochure.
Often wondered why there was need to lock down a spare in a locked trunk

It sort of falls in the same line as the mesh screen offered for behind the rear seat as a "Security Barrier".
It would be quicker to punch the lock then it would be to tear out the rear seat

Yes, somewhere I have one. I bought it in 1999 from a fellow who lived in Dufor (think that's the right name) up along the Columbia river in Oregon. I went there with Peter Klabo when I bought my '66 GP from him (Klabo).

I also bought a NOS set of accessory door locks which you fit on the rear door lock buttons to stop the kids opening the doors from the inside.

Now you have brought it up, I'm going to have to go hunt for them. I have an embarrassing amount of boxes in my garage holding trinkets and parts to one day use on my '65 Bonneville 4DRHT 421HO tripower car. When I can ever retire

My dad's car was ordered with the Class III trailer tow package, and on the window sticker was "Frame X-member". When the car was delivered there was the steel bar with a flange that had holes in it for what appeared to be location of where safety chains would hook on to. This was actually in the trunk of the car and the dealer installed it. We've never seen another B-body Pontiac with this. He ordered the package for all of the HD parts that came with it. The car never towed anything. Car is a 65 421 HO 4spd Catalina/Ventura hardtop; also came with 3.73 gears from the factory. More here:

Post Class III trailer package

Joegpho
When you have time, will you take a photo of the trailer hitch?
I had a 66 Bonneville 4 speed convertible that had had a HD trailer hitch that I forgot to remove before the car was gone.
I don't know if it was dealer installed or ? .......... It wasn't listed on the build sheet.
When I went the following week to get it off the car, someone had already removed it.
As I remember, it went from the bumper to one or two cross bars that connected it to the rear frame rails.
I now have a 66 421 Catalina wagon that also was ordered with most every HD option.
I want to be able to add a trailer hitch to the wagon, and hope to get a photo or drawing of one.
I should be able to fabricate one from either of those.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Ron B

My 63 Bonne SW was ordered with the Frame X-Member as well - always wondered what it was. I recently ran across a dealer brochure I have that talks about towing accessories - it shows an illustration of the Frame X-member - reinforced (boxed) frame rails on the rear portion of the frame that adds strength when adding a trailer hitch. Crawled up under my 63 ...yep boxed frame on the back section :-) Bruce
