The Beat Farmers. Love their irreverent take on Rock and Roll. Too bad Country Dick Montana passed.

At least one of the Beat Farmers was in this group WAY before the Beats:

Verrrry cool indeed. I had no idea. I discovered the Beat Farmers around 20 years ago. Never got a chance to see them, but their Loud and Plowed album gets me going when no other can. Would love to have gotten a chance to see them.

You made my day. Thanks!

Been downloading some of their stuff : I saw that band play in the 80s , they put on a good show and saw Tim Finn (former member and also with Split Enz) open for 10,000 Maniacs (not into that crap)

London is another good band i heard off that video as well.

There are a few videos of Seduce and London on YT, also demos of Sister and Circus Circus. Prior bands of Nikki Sixx and Blackie Lawless.

Default Driving Songs

Almost thirty years ago I came across a 45rpm Demo pressing of this song in a pawn shop. Bought it just out of curiousity, and discovered that I really liked the song, dispite not being into Molly Hatchett. I haven't had a turn table for over fifteen years, so haven't heard this song since I last played it. Last night it just struck me that I had never looked it up on YouTube.

A couple other jewels that are catchy as hell, but rarely played on the radio.

No idea. I've never heard it before. Always have like Bach's Toccata and fugue in D minor.

Been listening to a lot of Lalo Schifrin lately. I'm sure you all of heard his music. Mission Impossible, Mannix, Bullitt, Dirty Harry, Scorpio, Jaws. Here is one that is a great quick step, plus a great two solo effort by the piano player.

refreshed my collection of TYA with the passing of Alvin Lee. One new addition (to me) is Pure Blues by Ten Years After.
What blows me away is that I had never heard some of this great stuff.Gonna miss you Alvin

That's a David Bowie song. Not sure from which album, but I'd guess around 1978-80.

Did you know the song now that I narrowed it down? Or you had to look it up?

I had no clue - I started surfing the different albums on Amazon and kept sampling them till I found it.

Gotcha.

I'm pretty good at figuring a song in a split-second, and the clip reminded me to make a mental note of it because it's a good song that's not often played of the ones that they do play. Gotta hunt that one down...
