Thanks for posting these pictures. The Waldron exhaust looks good.
You have a lot of rare original (hard to find) parts still on the car, like the smooth (non finned) rear brake drums, rear AC compressor bracket and oil fill tube, original ribbed AC hoses etc. It looks like your making good progress on her. Are you still planning to go with the original Lucy color? You gotta love the blue on those frame rails!

Glenn, nice car pics, however I'd be more concerned at this point by what is in your garage (last pic in the lower right hand corner)...An armadillo missing it's armor?, a rare alien Ant-eater/opossum hybrid?, the mythical chupacobbra? A newborn snuffleupagus? Stuffed animal?
You have to get that thing in the circus and make millions. I googled everything I could think of and I am still not sure what it is. Maybe you know about it, and are giving it home? It is nesting close to your cat's litter box. Just thought I'd point it out, as it looks like a threat to your cat, maybe your wiring, and possibly yourself. BIRD72 & 165TH
thanks for the words...they are much appreciated and helps me to keep going...I know if this car was in someone elses hands it could get knocked out of the park...even though its not finished a lot of fun still comes from knowing I have it...I know the mileage of 58k is real, that it was dealer maintained and just one female owner who never changed or tricked the car out from stock..the P.Y. forum has helped me to learn a lot more about this car than I ever knew...so the rear axle is a 1976 T/A (3.23)...why ,I do not know..but really not a dealbreaker....the M-40 is original...which leads us to the motor...without dealer documentation one has to go on faith that for whatever reason the original motor was replaced and a 1973 SR motor is in the car...I still am unclear regarding the heads...are they also over the counter that possibly had new parts installed?...I do know that this car was loved and SR parts like a 1975 carb. and a SR Rally II turn up..in 1985 I would never have picked a car that was too far gone for me to restore...considering there was no internet and the handful of cars I passed on...I think I kinda lucked out..alot of cool options that you do not see on early T/As grouped together...the car is more impressive in person and considering it was 14 years old when I got it it does not make sense that an extra 29 years have gone by...hopefully the next guy puts on 40k miles and enjoys the car...and my SR shaker is going to the paint booth very soon and its going to be white, and so that means......

TRANS AM DASH
was why I wanted a T/A..all the add ons and put ons...but the TRANS AM dash was unique, and along with the Formula steering wheel no other car in the 70s could match it...I suppose the chrome bezels were discontinued for glare or too gaudy?...that's it for now & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Never doubt a good car that brings you joy when you look at it and work on it. It's like nothing else...

HERES to the NEW YEAR
...more likely, what was I thinking...in 1985 I wanted to replace my T/A that was totaled...the 72 that I got had the cheap silver repaint and needed 1/4s so if not for that I am certain I would have thought differently...but I will say that the forum did twist my arm and convince me that Lucerne blue is the way to go (I would have had Cameo white a Lucerne underbelly)...plus I already had a white car, I should embrace the change...actually if you can envision it done..Lucy blue, deluxe black, auto with air and honeys w/o trim rings..it should make one fine TRANS AM...actually the scoop and air cleaner is in the shop and is getting painted very soon...and I cannot wait to add the decals, 455 H.O.!!!!!

SEAT BACKS FROM JUST DASHES
came in on 12/24....so a cool present for the T/A...I would recommend them...the original grain was ground off and the exterior coating glued/vac formed? on...its on for good and its totally flat...the finish around the edges is perfect..since the 1971 & 72 seat backs are not reppoped , for me this seemed the only solution and I think it works...a trim shop installed my front seat covers...71 & 72 used material to cover the rear seat bun...1973 & later use a plastic cover and a revised seat back

IDLESTOP SOLONOID
can anyone explain to me the purpose of the idle stop solenoid and how should it be adjusted...it looks as though mine has moved around by the wear on 2 of the locating holes

Your seatbacks look great. Is the vinyl they used the same as the seat material?
Thanks,
