You are welcome, No problem Jack
Does anyone know what the distance between the rear bumper end and the quarter panel should be ? (How close should the bumper be to the body ?) |

I've installed several rear bumpers on my GTOs and LeMans through the years, and simply had to throw in the towel after several hours of fiddling with the alignment. Unfortunately - and please don't take this the wrong way - but I'd say that your is one of the worst I've seen . . . Here are a couple of shots of David Wojahn's GORGEOUS Canyon Copper '71 LeMans 455HO tribute car. This is about as good as the rear bumper alignment gets on these cars . . . David's car is original paint, too!

Ok no worries I did ask since I was not happy with it, I will take it off and try agin, my problem is the vertical distance between the rear quarter and the bumper end.
Hah !! I think mine looks better when you look at the upper horisontal fit at the bumper sides than David Wojahn's |

And I must apologize as I believe that my earlier post was WAY too critical of your bumper installation. Your workmanship (and your car) are AWESOME! Keep up the great work! The little feller in the attached photo illustrates how I feel about your car VERY well, LOL!

Great photo !!! Gee that car looks familiar
And if you look close at the rear bumper you will see that it is not a "new" problem.. Anyways was back 05.00 this morning after driving all night to pick up my rechromed front bumper so today I guess I will just get some rest, to old for driving all night |

Just like the company that did the rechrome..
I did give them some small parts to, looks like they have "lost" half of them and did "forget" to ship the other parts with the bumper.... Why do people eat those stupid pills ?? |

And here is the reason for pulling the sound deadner out of the box.
Notice the black paper tape, that is Shurtape CP632 normally found in photo stores or the bay, a pretty good match of the original black paper tape GM did use. |
