Don't get burnt from this deal.

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/1966-Chevrol...EAAOSwWLddh9s0

The guy says only 600 were built with a bench seat and a column shifter. Yeah, right.

If you're talking SS-396 verts, that's probably a generous number.
But only one was built with a Turbomatic two speed transmission.
Item Location: Burnsville, NC lol

Now, what's wrong with this description?
Quote:
Matching numbers 396 engine
Mileage: 120,000 on car and approximately 85,000 on engine

Almost everything.

Interior consists of bench seat with transmission on the column.
Ripped the column shift lever out, and stuffed a 'glide in it's place?

It sure does not look like it has been stored in a "cool dry place sense the fire"?

First of the I have never seen rust like this??? Second the guy isn't selling just sending a warning to everybody??? Third the car is interesting even though it's a total roof rust bucket! Forth this has the very rare we're tail panel??? Last this has got to be a joke??? I do spy a Formula hood and a 4spd car.

A buddy of mine wrote the ad. He drove up there to buy the car. The seller wasn't real honest about the car. I told my buddy it was probably a rust bucket as it looked like it sat under a tarp for many years.. Its a shame as it was a nice car until it met the tarp of death.. It has been sitting since 1996 outside under a tarp.. The engine is probably locked up.

Here is the original ad.. Car is rusting from the inside out....

The rust behind the trim tag should have been somewhat of an indication of the car's actual condition.

The roof looks like once upon a time someone vandalized it with brake fluid from an eye dropper.

Ok Thanks this makes sense now. The OP was really misrepresenting that car, not a single picture of the roof. Sucks your friend drove so far to see that heap. At that price it won't ever sell. I'm going to contact the seller and tell him he's a douche!!!

The key words may be "known to exist" - known to the seller, or known to the world? A person could get a Marti report for the truck to find out exactly how many short bed 3/4 tons were built.

Interesting 75 Venture on MI C/L the seller was asking $8000 for it a few weeks ago, now down to $6800. Olds 260 V8 powered, almost looks like a sprint but does not have the sprint emblems or bucket seats. I Kinda like it, glad I don't have the space for it.

78 GP SS with 402? Sure looks like a stock 305 Chevy under the hood to me.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/la...981674200.html

with all the miss info and condition of the car at least they are only asking $1250.00

Considering that all you can see is the air cleaner, it's pretty hard to tell what engine is underneath it.

Seriously challenged description and key words. 4-cyl FWD?
It might have a rust free frame to donate to a salt belt car.
I think it's probably an SJ.
Unusually optioned with the luxury bucket seats and crank windows.
