Thanks! I haven't had much time to play with it lately, but it has been running very well since I sorted out the carburetor and the vacuum leak. I want to check the timing advance rate and plot that out to see what it actually is. I will post the results when I do.

I said it B4 get a pair of 64( 85cc) heads ,have them milled down 45 thous ants a set of Cometic head gaskets and go from 7.8 to 1 TO 9.3 to 1 and you'll wake up the 400. And still run pump gas.Another AND its totally stock looking. Tune all you want, but if you want, to go rise the compression

Ok, I did my timing advance check. Here are the results. I did change out the weights and springs last year so they are NOT stock anymore.
RPM...........Timing Advance Idle...........27 1000...........27 1500...........30 2000...........35 2500...........36 3000...........36 A couple of interesting observations. I do not have any trouble starting this car, even when hot even though timing appears to be too advanced at idle. Also, the timing mark would occasionally "jump" out of sight (maybe a misfire?) and the timing light seemed to flash rapidly (crossfire?) at times. This occurred only at idle and 1000 rpm. Any speed above that it seemed to disappear. It would appear to me that I need a slightly heavier spring than what I installed. Any other thoughts?
