VHT makes a color called "METALLIC TITANIUM BLUE". its very close to pontiac blue but might just be the ticket if you want something a little different. and its VHT. good paint.

That's an awesome idea!

I never get tired of it but prefer the metallic blue to the light blue.

No way Jose. The 69 color is the best engine color ever, including all other brands. You just can't beat that silver/blue metallic.

Its funny, I saw the title of this thread and figured I'd come in guns blazing with pics of my LS wearing Poncho blue, but Boss already did it for me!

I love Pontiac metallic blue.

67 and up Blue is THE COLOR. All others are pale in comparison. It really irks me when a Pontiac is painted the wrong color.

I like original blue too. Who makes the closest/best match for '67? I'm getting ready to do mine soon and want it to last as long as possible.

POR15 makes Pontiac metallic blue. Their paint is tougher than nails. By far, the best engine enamel around, IMHO. I just bought some but haven't painted it yet, so I can't comment on the color. I have used Por15 engine paint before and it has always looked great. If you want some though, you better buy it soon, as the salesman told me that once their stock of it is depleted, they won't be making more.

Well seeing this poll sitting at 11 to 128 it sure looks like most of the Pontiac faithful here are pretty happy with the different colors of blue that were chosen by Pontiac for their V8 and SOHC-6 powerplants.

To me that's one of the coolest things about having a Pontiac V8 under your hood, the unique look of those blue engine paint colors used from '59 -'70 that puts them a step above the other brands.

Seeing that I came from the Chevy camp before Pontiac, I love the Orange color. And, one day I gonna build me a small block Pontiac. At least that what I was thinking all those years ago. Today, I'm only singing the Pontiac Blues.

haha, usually like yellow. but i was going to paint my 350 chevy orange but then thought no, the car is going to be blue (72 camaro), so of course i ended up painting the car hugger orange, and regretted not painting the engine orange ever since. oh well it sold for top dollar anyway before the crash. the idea with yellow is you could see any leaks easier so you could fix them. i have never painted a chevy engine orange yet. but next time i will, hell i still got the unused can of orange paint!!! dammit!

now i am on my lifetime build of my first pontiac engine, so i painted the block baby blue, with a can i had. when i ran out, the store was out of it and sent me across town cause they had two more cans there. i got home and sprayed and guess what. Metallic Blue. i love it and am painting the block over. other than that, i would agree with painting it the same color of the car

Default Even a lowly 2-barrel 326 deserves better than this.....

Looks like she was treated to a 'rattle-can rebuild' at one time in a lovely shade of Chevy orange.

Just say no.

I bought a 326 from a guy in the Warwick, NY area. The engine was purple and yellow. You can imagine how fast I cleaned and painted that one!!!
