Hey Mike ... I didn't know you were in the Detroit metro area! I just moved out here last year. Canton. Let me know what shows you bring your car to ... love to see it and I'll bring the goat. If my wife and kids see it they'll be actually asking me to get another one. They loved that car!

Ah, I was in Detroit Metro (Royal Oak) for the summer from may to end of august but my internship @ ...ahem... Ford.. ended and am back at VT for one last year of school.

You didn't miss anything t hough, my bonnie was left behind in Virginia. I'm sure you know this by now but beware those michigan roads.. first week there my 95 T/A's panhard bar bent!

A few of my then-coworkers live in Canton. It sounds like a good place. Royal Oak worked for me though. What do you do out there? Auto industry?

Don't mean to kidnap the thread so feel free to PM me back!

I like the curves. Almost as nice as the car.

I was playing around with my photo editor and found this effect which I thought was kind of cool. It kind of makes it look like I have 17" eight lug wheels.

Hey, that looks like Jerry's car. I love the color. Are you putting it back the same? What are your plans for it? Those cars make awesome sleepers. Like 66Bonnes and Jerrys. Now only if we can get Jerry to keep his and drop in a Butler 462 and some 4.11's that would be the s***.

jerry's 421 will run as good as the 462. the 4:11's would kill the drivability of that car, 3:42's would be the max i'd run in one of these as a street car.

i would, however recommend a good 4spd in one.

i noticed the coupe in the above mentioned car also. those are neat pieces done.

Yeah, it's the same color as Jerry's car. It'll be the same color. Reef Turquoise with Teal Turquoise steel wheels. I think Jerry's car has the same KKL paint code...add some dog dish caps, and you really couldn't tell them apart. Only difference being I don't have stainless window trim.

It was a 2bbl A/T with 2.41 peg leg when I bought it. I am making a sleeper out of it. 455 .030 over, 4 speed, 3.42 saf-t-track with correct 14-inch wheels. I've added a beefier front stabilizer bar, new springs, and KYB shocks to make it tight.

The 455 will have long branch headers from RARE, and a modified 750 cfm Carter AFB 4760.

I've added some other goodies too: factory tach, rally gauges, am/fm (delete plate would be more appropriate, but I gotta have tunes), and the rare in dash vacuum gauge (Canada only). I'm going with the bench seat, so I also have a somewhat rare bench seat stick for the Hurst shifter.

I have damn near all the parts to get it there, but no time and not quite enough money to finish it...body and paint will be the last and most expensive hurdle.

I need to add a current pic, so check back!

sounds like you'll have a runner when it's done. bench seat 4 spd, that'll be an eye catcher for sure.

Had to post 2 pics that came from a wonderful relaxing day of driving around without a care this past Sunday. I ought to take a class on photography because I feel I'm ruining the scenic value with my lack of skills!

Enjoy!

Hey Mike, you should get into photography with those pictures. That looks like it should be in a calendar or poster. I never really liked the fullsize cars in red unless it is a two door hardtop 2+2 but your car has changed me. Very nice.
