speaking of 59 chevy's, this is elcamino is a 348 tri power that i owned for many years and let go last year. i had been told it was one of 12 and another late great chevy expert said 15 made but then they couldnt remember if it was 12 in 1959 and 15 in 1960 or the other way around. this one was a 4 speed also. these were taken the day i delivered it to him and i started having serious sellers remorse.

Default Barn find.....fired of Tirebirds

Here's my LATEST perversion....

That's Cameo Coral/Satin Beige (Magic Mirror) acrylic laquer, applied in the Oakland assembly plant in early 1960.

Doesn't appear to have EVER been in a body/paint shop.

Had 3 cars/trucks follow me into the gas station on my way home wanting to buy it....

Note the W motor,clutch pedal,overdrive control & Pep Boys underdash A/C unit.

We sparked it (ran breifly) prior to purchase & hope to be driving it SOON!.

I DO really like my Pontiacs still, but a 59 Impala has got to be the COOLEST car on the PLANET!

I agree - awesome barn find. I want one in a bad way too. I would love to find that exact car in a barn here as well, but I'll bet it won't be in such good shape. I'd like to see more pics when it's cleaned up.

Default Pea Green chase vehicle?

IIRC: Steve B. orgininally posted this on the vintage photo thread.

Look past Mickey Thompson (below) and there is one in service back in the day.

My delivery is super rare now. 1n 1959 Chevy made 1.4 million cars-trucks. Only 5200 delivery ( less then 0.0037% new). It was rare off the production line. Kinda customized now. Shag carpet in the rear, etc. Needs some engine compartment TLC, detailing.

Ah well, only lasted about 6 weeks.. I'll already regret selling it.. Got it for $1200 and sold it for twice that.. had to pay the mortgage and health insurance.. (no handouts at this house).

A revival for those who haven't seen them.
