The pic with the 50 Chev almost looks as if it were 'staged'.Looks like a small town America scene for a tv show or movie.

Definitely the same guy. There's also a guy with a plaid shirt (w/ rolled up sleeves) that reappears. Even more interesting is the celebrity in the background. Looks like he might be giving someone an autograph?

Same track, east of pittsburgh.
We would drive 100 miles, run the crap out of our cars and drive them back home to Butler. |

I've been looking at the link that GTOnly70 provided and see plenty of awesome shots. I've saved some because it has over 600 pages of shots, and i'll be not likely to go back and look through scores of pages. I see plenty that have Pontiacs in them as well as others that are probably interesting enough to share here. Is there an etiquette to follow here? Is it cool to repost a few pics from there here?
Example; Here's a groovy old Wheelstander...I really love these old pics threads! |

Here is an old picture of my father and his Buick way before I was born.
And what vintage picture thread is complete without the original “Wally” picture thrown in. |

Looks like Linda Vaughn hadn't put on her makeup yet in that Wally pic.

I hardly know where to begin, with something like this....
I will say, though, we had a pretty good thread going earlier (about a year ago). It started with a vintage Chicago Auto show pic, and then morphed into a "vintage street scenes" thread. Many of the pictures were gleaned from the HAMB thread - but - with the caveat that they had to have a Pontiac in there somewhere. Here's the thread (it's about 6 pages): http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=588084 I would encourage you all to check it out (see if you can find the "Steve Barcak" honorable mention ). K

A few more:
GM Assembly Research Center (GMARC), located on the northeast corner of Flint Assembly. This is where the first 300 Corvettes were built (before moving the assembly location to St Louis). I had two uncles that drove for FJ Boutell. In fact, if you ever hear an urban legend about a carhauler going under a bridge and stripping the top off a Buick showcar - that was my Uncle Joe. The fact that he loaned the money to Mr Boutell to start the business probably saved his job.
