Hey, I couldn't wait to tell someone and figured this is the right place:
I just got my slop sink installed in my garage! Yup, I now have hot/cold water, and a drain. (which technically means I also have a urinal in the garage too. wahoo!

Cool post guys, I love these cyber garage tours. This is my 2 ½ car detached shop where I spend a great deal of time. It’s heated with a 60,000 BTU natural gas unit heater (for our long cold winters), and also has A/C for the odd hot days, and a well monitored security system. As seen in the pics I have a whole wall of shelves about 24’ by 8’ plus several work benches/welding tables and cabinets etc. It’s heavy duty wired with lots of 120v outlets and 4 220v outlets. I have a large “I” beam installed that runs the width of the shop along the ceiling which is great for hanging heavy things to paint like rear axle assemblies etc. It also helps me to pull bodies on and off of frames and rotisseries by myself with a cherry picker. The last few pics are after I epoxy coated the floor which was a lot of work but well worth it.

I've got a ton of stuff in my garage.
Besides two cars, both turbos (one a 1981 Trans Am, the other a 1989 Trans Am), I have alot of collections in my garage. Sorry for the big pictures. The door to get in. These are right by the entry door. My library of Pontiac Press Kits, Brochures, Product Books, Ad Planners, Service manuals, Body Manuals, etc. Theres a lot more to see. Anyone want more of the tour? 60man thats a great pic, I love it. You certainly wouldn't catch me trying to sneak past them. Must cost that guy a fortune to feed his security guards. ;-)
As MalteseFalcon mentioned none around here but its certainly feels cold enough alot of the time. |

Here are a couple of shots of our pole barn. The best investment we've ever made. 32'x48' and room for six cars (although we had 9 in it one winter). Heat and a/c makes it a great place to work. Excuse the mess as there is always a project or two going.

My new 24x32 garage. Interior all calked and finished with plywood, waterproof fluor lights. The garage can literally be washed down when necessary. It's got heat, the ladder swings up out of the way and can be postioned on either side of attic entance. The right side work bench collapses and swings up out of the way.

I love this thread.
I have a new friend that my wife knows. I don't think he's on these boards so I'll post his pics here. It's 4 bays, two are about 24' deep, the other two 18'. He's got two garage buddies and one shop lift. so in a pinch, he can fit 7 cars in there. It's got 12' ceilings. Now he needs heat and better lights. But it's a VERY nice place to hang out (in the daylight on a warm day ;-)) His GTO is a frame-off resto. He's owned the car since, well, let's just say he bought it for $100 and it was a decent driver! It was his first car! How cool is that.

Here's mine, with only half the cars in it and no room to work - need to build a pole barn this summer.

Here's some pics of my detatched, which is big enough for an extended project as well as misc R&R. I also have a two-car attatched w/ 12 foot ceiling and a 4-post but it's still not enough (LOL).The last picture is the loft above the detatched which is used as a workout room.

I was just wondering about steel buildings.
Hmm, Can I put vinyl siding over them when done to make it look nicer and match my house?
