Saw the car at the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags meet this weekend. Owner was telling a group of us about it. Original owner rolled it down a boat ramp into the water in the mid '70's. Got water in everything. Bad piston, rod and cracked head from trying to start it. Engine in it currently is temporary. Fixed needed things so he could drive it. Drove it 300 miles to meet. For sale. $60k for car and many NOS parts to restore.

Why fix it - I think it looks cool just the way it is!

Original block still good?

I heard the OE was not in the best of shape. Even Dan J called it a swamped block. But, donated a 455 for driving purposes.

Love to hear more details on car. The extent of NOS parts? Nobody else got pix?

Yes that is my buddy Lyndon's car, he has owned it for a very long time and is all original.

I encouraged him a couple years ago to get it running and driving and well he finally did just that.

Cool car, Lucy Blue with Blue interior, non AC, M22 rock crusher 4 speed GTO Judge

Thanks Rich

Keep in mind , included in that price, is NOS everything to restore the car, parts alone represent a lot of $$ value.

Personally, I like survivor cars, I would further clean it up and use as is.
They are only original once!

I would like to see that list too. Is there 20k worth of parts? Never got the list from big L. Can the OEM drivetrain be saved?

Someone added the tach and the interior was missing but had 69 seats. Will have the ivory interior. Original 4 spd no console w 8 track and honeycombs and a few other options. Dan Jensen did the motor, dynoed at 475 hp and 554 ft lb of torque.

Any more pics of this car Mike? How was the interior? Too bad about the original block getting hydra-locked - connecting rods really don't like it when that happens. Would love to know the whole story on just how the car happened to roll down a boat ramp. Maybe parking at the lake one night - struggling for a better position and knocked the gear shift into neutral?

I took these photos of my buddies 1971 Judge in 2008 after he finished the restoration. Tropical Lime with a Jade interior and a Cameo White painted top. Column shift with A/C. Date of execution 01-12-71. Sold new in Mobridge, South Dakota but has
spent most of its life in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area.
