Sorry guys but its been a long snowy winter here,

here are a few more Videos for you to look at, the first is of the judge, I am assuming that its the same car from the previous video I posted but since there has been some debate about more then one Judge it is possible i suppose that it could be a different car, still has keystones and GTO decals where the Judge should be. Jump ahead to 18:30 for this one and check it out.

http://www.hulu.com/watch/46141/adam-12-adoption

Ok the second one is more debatable but knowing that the show is produced by Universal and so was two lane blacktop and that we already know the judge we have seen in episodes is the two lane car this car could be the 55 chevy..it is primer gray and in the right condition but im not sure you get enough of a look to tell if it is THE car, jump out to 9:45 and see what you think.

Looks like the TLB cars to me. That straight axle 55 chevy is a cool car.

After watching the Criterion edition extras for the first time, I googled Lakeland Dragway near Memphis and found this site:

http://www.lakelandraceway.com

It has some TLB pictures and information although not much on the GTO(s). The track itself looked like a popular destination back in the day. Lots of history.

the endura nose seems misaligned w/ the hood and passenger side fender in the first adam 12 clip; not "adoption"; at the end of the chase.
also; in "adoption" you could probably read the liscence plate, but i didnt see how to pause the video.
great stuff guys. i was heading for the 70-72 forum, and accidently went to this judges forum. i bought "two lane blacktop". this, to me, is like front page news; i'm sure every GTO owner on the forums would like to read this thread...
ok but a couple of things i missed after all this reading: why was all that scribble on the phs? whos phs was it? does the present owner have his phs? and did the phs say 400ci? does anyone like keystone klassics?
ok, i'll go back and read this all again later.

"PHS" scribble? That's actually an invoice sourced from PMD itself, prior to JM obtaining those records and starting the PHS service. For reasons unknown, PMD used to obliterate pricing when sending out an invoice.

Here's the build sheet - L67 RA IV.

These wheels and tires have been on this GTO since about 1975.

I bought Keystone Classics for most of my Birds also.
Cool wheels back then.

The build information was saved primarily as financial documentation, not as a potential help to future Pontiac enthusiasts. It was even housed and managed by a financial person.

So, apparently in that timeframe (immediately prior to and including the Fred Simmonds era) Pontiac Motor Division did not want the financial aspect of the information made public - hence the obliteration.

Default Keystone Klassics

I've been trying to figure out if the TLB GTOs Keystones are a 14" or 15" set. Studying all the photos I can find, I tend to think 15". I guess if there were 2 cars, maybe they had 2 sizes? Also the Firestone tires, any good guesses on the sizes? Look bigger in the rear. I believe they are Deluxe Champions?

Bruwster,
In case you're interested, it's rumored one of the '55 Chevy's will be auctioned off by Barrett/Jackson in January.

Here's a link regarding the auction--looks like early 2015 and apparently it's the camera car being auctioned?

The 55's were cool and all, but I absolutely loved the OO car with keystones!

Anybody else see the tlb 55 cross the block at BJ?

No reserve and went for 145k yesterday... A bit more than I would've guessed but it is a very unique car

Yes I did... I actually thought somebody with $$ would have paid more for it...

couple pics of the 55, would have been cool if an OO 70 was brought on the block with it.

"When I heard they were comin' out with the Mark IV Ram Air, well, I was online"!!!!

Maybe it was the 1969 Pontiac Motion catalogue that led the scriptwriter to write this slightly incorrect piece of dialogue....
