There is a number of threads my own included on the full 69 GTO trunk pan. At present a 68 has to be cut and modified which takes some real work and skill to do it right. Hopefully the 69 pan will become available in the near future.
Also, 68/69 convertible quarters and wheel houses. |

Tried that one, it doesnt fit. The 67-69 Firebird tubes have 4 distinct bends. The PYU302 fits TH400's just not the first gen firebirds.

75-81 Firebird Rear Quarters
-75-81 Firebird Rear Quarters
-Full length rear frame rails -Full floor pans with the toe boards. .....Heck make a full "replacement body" available like the 69 camaros etc. I'm tired of buying "Good used" southwestern sheetmetal only to find dents, bondo & rust. I'd like to fix a car with new metal instead of McGyvering old donor parts. More of the 70s Fbody cars could be saved and demand for other resto parts would increase f the saveable carse not cut up for parts because the sheet metal is not available, its a vicious circle. Unfortunately the money has to be there from the supplier to create the dies and the customers have to spend the bucks to get the project rolling This bad ecconomy thing is realy getting annoying now!

My 70 gto fenders fit pretty decent, I guess. I didnt put them on but the body man didnt complain about them. I had to work on the holes where the side markers screw to the fender to get them setting flush as possible. Thank goodness my doors were in good shape

70-72 Lemans fenders would be handy, only thing generally available is the GTO fenders with the Endura nose.

'64 LeMans/GTO Rear Quarter Extensions.
Molded off of original, undamaged, unwarped originals that fit & align to Qtr., D/Lid, T/Lamps. Very difficult to find originals that fit & align. Original die-cast tough to work with. Perhaps an ABS replacement? Thanks, John

Tail light Panel
There is next to nothing reproduced for 74 GTO or 73-74 Ventura for that matter. Parts that are impossible to find include TAIL LIGHT PANELS, rubber boots that go around the support arms for the hatchback cars, rubber inserts for the bumpers (3 piece or one piece front or back ) and fuel sender units were 73-4 only and if you don't get a good used one you do get one and I have only located one of them. Also seat tracks for the bucket seats are not reproduced

Exact reproduction oil and temp sending units with correct markings as well as function, the repros look NOTHING like the originals and are not correct!

in fact, any parts for a '71-'72 lemans front end would be great. the header panel, the hood, the fenders, the bumper, the steel valance, radiator support, all of it is needed, i'm sure. while you're at it, how's about parts for the '71-'72 GTOs? again, the hood, fenders, radiator supports, fiberglass headlight surrounds. really, anything for either car would be great. and true endura noses for '68-'72 GTOs and '70-'73 firebirds would be beyond amazing as well. i know the chances of that are slim to none, but still...a man can dream, right? you know what, i'll even settle for steel reproductions of the endura noses. if they were made of steel but had the same exact dimensions, all the bolt holes were in the right places and the right size, and they mounted the exact same way as the original enduras, and could use original grills and bezels and hardware, i'd love to have a steel nose for my '72 firebird. i wouldn't have to worry about the paint cracking or chipping, and repair would be something i could actually attempt in my garage. but those would only work if they were 100% compatible with original parts.

The other product that is high demand in the firbird comunity is the kick down switch and boot. I have to put up with this ugly thing that is functional but not like the original. Most are not willing to pay 300-400 for a switch. One last product that could be made or made better is the F-4 throttle bracket. Parts place make one but it not very good. Here is the part place one. This is what I believe to be an original. I would like to see PY take the bull buy horns and make these before the Parts Places does and makes more piss poor copies of the original. |
