We kinda went over that in post #84. If we feel we don't have a sufficient amount of drop then we will incorporate a reservoir and scavenge pump setup.

Transmission
So I built the 4L80E for Bandit. I used a billet overdrive planetary carrier, 300M input and main shafts, BTE aluminum direct drum w/36 element sprag and increased intermediate clutch capacity. Machined the front pump for a Extreme Automatics bellhousing adapter and added a Reid racing BOP bellhousing. We are using a CK performance transbrake valvebody which retains the ability to be automatically shifted by the computer. (Holley Dominator). Along with some super secret mods Nick and I are experimenting with. Should be able to handle up to 1500 HP. We also have a trans shield for this bad boy.

Safety is first with this build. Full fire system being installed also. Chassis certified to 6.00 even though we don't plan on ET's that low.

Cowl fix
I was just going to let this go and use a monsterous stack of shims for the fender but my concience got the best of me. Ordered a new cowl top and sectioned in what I needed. This car was hit pretty hard in the right front at some point in it's life and the fender pushed the cowl down right there. Tried to heat it and slide hammer it back up to no avail.

Primer party
So after quarter panel replacement, cowl repair, firewall smoothing, roll cage and chassis mods it was time to get this thing in epoxy primer. I know it should have been done right after media blasting so don't shoot me. Gathered up family and friends and armed everyone with sand paper, scotch brite and wire wheels and about 5 hours later it was back to surface rust free bare metal. Shot everything with black epoxy. Then with my favorite undercar paint, Rustoleum semi-gloss black thinned 4:1 with acetone.

Gold Cage?
One of Nick's buddies suggested we paint the cage gold to go with the Black and gold Bandit theme. At first I thought he was crazy but after a test spray I think it's going to look awesome. We'll use the same color on the steering wheel and other accents in the interior.

More Progress
Some final assembly and more mock up pics. Nick carved up some drive pulleys for the alternator and vacuum pump out of a 6" billet of aluminum on the lathe. Then fabbed brackets for them. I got the brakes plumbed and bled. Got to have wipers for drag week so we got a lightweight Newport Engineering wiper motor and installed that. I got Nick a Kirkey containment seat instead of the regular drag seat so he had to do a little tweaking of his original mounts for that but I'll feel better knowing he's safer. Started some final assembly of suspension components. More to come.

More pics. Also made a bracket for the Holley digital display so the dash can be removed and the display remains in place.

Intake Fabrication
So, Nick got started on the intake manifold. The intake began life as a Kauffman sheet metal tunnel ram. We are using a 105mm Wilson throttle body so the two had to be mated and remain under the hood. First Nick cut off and squared up the ends of the plenum, then mocked up the throttle body where we wanted it and started to build to it.
