Dumb question time. Is the 3 31/32" Hub the same as what the catalogs are calling the 4" Hub height? The only parts catalog I've seen with the 3 31/32" Hub is NPD"s Firebird calalog. All the rest say 4".

Yeah I know 1/32nd of an inch is nit picking, but at least tell it like it actually is.

This is on the Rock Auto site. Is it the "new, better" one? I need a water pump for my '66 Catalina. The motor is going together right now. Want to put the right one on now! Should I also use the repro SS plates?

The down side of Rock Auto is the shipping charges......

So, is pn. 55-11137 a new Cardone number?

There's one listed on e-bay too.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CARDO...Q5fAccessories

Headed to my local parts store, Advanced Auto, now and will check what they sell.

Default rock parts

only a one year warranty on pump! $10.00 shipping, if it goes bad you pay to ship back! this would be a big headache as mail order always is!!!!!!!!!!
O'Reilly's is lifetime although $30.00 more

Misterp266, do not use the repro SS 8 bolt rear divider plate with this pump with the new impeller. Contour does not match the impeller.... and banging on it won't help you either.

Use your original divider plates if they are still good and useable.

If not, then find a set of original divider plates from someone that is willing to sell a set they have.

What I was asking is not if it's new compared to rebuilt. I want to know if this is the "new, done right" part number. Gary, do you know? I thought I had an NOS divider plate set up but it's an 11 bolt one. The used ones I have are OK I guess, just kinda rotted away at the very edge.

Thanks,
Rob...

misterp,

I have just emailed our contact at Cardone to ask that question. I will post the reply as soon as I get it.
