Charles,

It's top drawer! Nice work.

In addition to everything else, somebody did a really spectacular job "tucking up" the exhaust system and getting the tailpipes perfectly even.......I'm picky like that and someone was paying attention to details.

Jim

I am jealous!! That is a beautiful car. I may have to drive the 90 miles to my painter Saturday just to look at mine!

Car looks great. The Ralley IIs look better without trim rings IMO.

I also agree 100%!!!

But then I'd go one step further and do away with the white letter tires. Black walls or red lines, but that's a personal opinion.

Awesome work Charles, you must be quite happy with the way the ole girl is coming along...

You guys are entitled to your opinions, but back then what with cars coming out of the 50's era with all the chrome they had, buying a family car (which this was) needed the "look". Now then, a "family car" with guts, well that was a plus!

Sorry to disappoint, but mine will have trim rings and the rest of the chrome.

I've been looking at it for 44 years and never wanted it to look any different, other than I never liked the arrowhead on the hood, so it changed address a LONG time ago. Holes are still under there for the next owner, after I'm gone.

Charles, find someone to make you an emblem that says "Old Goat" to replace the Pontiac hood emblem.

Actually you should have gotten a 65 hood and store the 67 hood away for safe keeping. I swapped my 66 Tempest hood for a 65 GTO hood back in 72 and it looked much better. No holes either. LOL

Not really needed Gary.

All they have to do is look in the drivers seat and there is "The Old Goat"!

Driving the "The Old Goat".

You know Gary, at least you're consistant.

Bad, but consistant!

The car looks great! I'm sorry you had so many problems with your painter. It's hard to get other people to see that "good enough" just won't cut it when it comes to restoring these old cars.

The REAL problem is that they were never taught the difference between "Employer" and "Employee"!

Haven't updated this in a while!

Took her down to get a state inspection yesterday. Boy did it feel good!
Now to concentrate on stripes, window / beltline chrome and vinyl top, then the outside might be close to complete. Still have some to do on the interior and of course the AC system to get parts and recharge.

Thanks Paul,

I'm re-learning how to drive it (if you know what I mean), and liking it all over again!

She looks great altogether Charles. Now come back down from that cloud. LOL

Oh btw, did she pass or did the inspectors want to keep it?

Boy that thing looks sharp Charles! I like Rally IIs without the trim rings but for some reason, the '67 and earier cars look better 'with' to my eye.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!....I noticed the exact same thing when I was looking at the pics...
That's the one thing that sorely disappointed me about my Pypes system. I think I'm going to have to pay someone to adjust the pipe behind the wheel so it will tuck up further, THEN turn down at the bumper.
