Update:
Ran the carb on my truck and made adjustments to accel pump, bypass air valve and mixture screws to achieve about 800 RPM in park and pulling about 21"Hg of vacuum on my truck.
Back onto the car....
Hooked up a mech oil pressure gauge and from simply cranking about 30 psi....
Wants to catch but maybe too cold.

I did run it again last night for very short times.
Not long enough for it to build any heat .
I think I hear the old noise I know too well with stock Pontiacs...Rod knock or pin.
Like I said it has not run on it's own long enough...I may have to replace the fuel pump...
Weird it was pumping well when I cleared the tank of the Beer it was brewing.
I put a filter before the pump before I started cranking it.
Carb runs fine on my truck so maybe new plugs & a pump.

Major Win Today!
Test fuel press..fine
Cyl press test cold
Change thermostat & added small bypass hole, added coolant
One shot of starting fluid
That was all it need!
Run's on it own and I have video...have to learn how to load that.
Idle speed and I had set it running on my truck so dist in car is out.
I've been spraying the base for a week now with PB blaster..no dice can't budge it...

No, I got it under control but dist will not budge.
I found on drivers side small choke counter weight was hung up as a wire spring may be broke.
I have it idling about 800 rpm, smooth...very happy!

Warmed it up then proceed to pour/flogg 4 cans of Seafoam right down the carb.
I stalled it out intentionally on the 3rd can to soak in a bit.
Finished 4th can an let it run awhile...I'm pretty sure I used my 1st 5 gallons of 93!
Next time I have a few mins I'll retest cylinder pressure to see if any gains were made on #'s 3 & 8 cylinders

Seafoam did the trick!
I checked the two bad cylinders that were under 100 psi and they are now 150 psi.
Nice!

Anyone know if they did nylon tooth timing gears in 67'?

I'm thinking once car is up change valve seals & check to see if Timing chain is intact.

I may build a nice custom 800 cfm Qjet....maybe headers......lol

If you've got a smart phone, you could probably use the camera on that to give you an idea of what's in there. Unless of course you've already got one of those bore scope units.

That's right
I can tell you the system is dry & all new stainless lines,
Also, before I moved the car @ the barn I checked each wheel and they were completely free like they were backed off.

If you could post a pic of the timing gear when you scope it, I'd be interested in seeing that.....if it's not a problem. Thx.

They already have been.
Slightly rusty on edges from sitting,...all clean now..but thanks!

I have two Edelbrock PB4's one is a square bore with both patterns.
I'm thinking it's useless so I'm going to machine the plenum to accept a spread bore Qjet.
Then weld in new pieces and final machine.
Also remove exhaust crossover.
