The spare is exactly correct with those stampings.
All they tell us it is a 66 wheel 14x6 Those stamps will be exposed to view if you run dog dish caps. So you would want exact duplicates - to be correct. Exhausts are right , passenger side should have a butterfly flapper that operates with a bi-metallic spring . Like Greg mentions. Intake will have the casting date right in front of where rear carb mounts on. Starter at least was a Delco remanufactured - or new- replacement. Would try to keep that tag preserved - it is vintage. Tstat neck is correct for 66 3x2 And appears he added a verbo-phonic reverb system to the radio. It was a factory option , but not listed on your billing. So it has a few factory upgrades - day/night rearview mirror , reverb , shift knob Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 02-21-2024 at 12:52 AM. |

But was sure you already knew that. Sounds like a very lucky find in that condition. I might have a spare driver side manifold you can have. Will check in the next week or so. |

Tedd , here is what you will look for on your distributor.
The stainless band will have a long application number , then a date code. You hope to find 1111054 on yours , and a May/June date code. |

BVZ, I haven't forgotten about this, just got out of the hospital so it will be a few days at least before I get to the garage.

Take your time and rest up Greg.
No rush I don't think Tedd is going to pull his valve covers now that they are installed. And the distributor pictures should guide him pretty well on checking his distributor . I might hunt out some 093 heads on eBay and transfer the pics of dates to here for him. |

Ok.. this is interesting I haven’t looked at the distributor
However I did confirm the flap mechanism on the exhaust manifold is there. I will be there Monday and look at the distributor. I am pretty sure it will check out . Everything else has been spot on it seems so will know Monday. BY THE WAY!! The original fuel tank was very crusty it could be saved but the cost was double of a new one from AIME’s . Should I save the old original tank ? Thanks |

Save it long enough to check it against what you buy.
After that it doesn't sound to be of much use. Guessing there was not a Buildsheet hiding up on top of the old tank. Rusty tank is about like a rusty battery tray , some things just have to go after a while. Sometimes a used replacement with matching patina can be found , but probably not in Florida in 2024. Later on you might want to try abroad - if its feasible . |

That's the kind of stuff I'd get rid of.

Hello gentlemen, I believe this to be the original distributor. It was in the trunk parts bin… the original owner did mention that when he added the hood tack, the distributor had to be changed. Not sure if this is correct or not but can someone please confirm this is the original distributor thank you as always.

Chart says its the right application.
Date code is good. March 14 1966 He might have went to a 1967 aluminum distributor with the 67 hood tach. Or he might have gotten an aftermarket dual point distributor. Shouldn't have needed it though - tach gets signal from the coil. At least the correct one is in possession . Not sure where I got stuck on 1111054 being TriPower distributor. That might have been one of the flubs from the 1980's GTO Restoration Guide book. Something somewhere made it stick in my mind ... idunno |

I have never encountered an 1111175 before that I can recall.
But lots of 078 and 054 units . So I wonder just how late the 175 went into use , and even why. Kenth always has dynamite reference material and resources. And shares it willingly. |

At one time I think they were repopping some of the ID bands for distributors.
Probably was the Parts Place |
