George, Do your PMD caps have the spring clips or the aftermarket washer attachment? It looks like you could get them to mount using either of the attachment scenarios.

This is my Firebird, fresh from a suspension overhaul by Global West, resulting in a 1 inch drop at the front, 2.75 inch drop in the rear.
Fronts: 17 x 7 torq-thrusts, 4" backspace, 225/45-17 tires Rears: 17 x 8 torq-thrusts, 4" backspace, 245/45-17 tires Have to admit I'm strongly considering U.S. Mag's Bandit wheels...

Posted a pic of my combo a couple of years ago but have made many changes to suspension including DSE UCA/LCA, 2" drop coil springs, hollow sway bar, 3" drop rear with composite spring, C6 Z51 13.5" front and 13" rear disc.
Front Nitto 255/45 and rear Nitto 285/40 on 17" YO snowflakes. |

Thanks guys.
Actually it's a custom version of a (closes your eyes) Toyota color called "Dark Emerald Pearl Mica Metallic". We added a touch more blue, black and pearl and this is what we got when we painted it in '95 and if I were to do it again I wouldn't change a thing with this color, almost 20 yrs later and I personally still love it. If I can sort out the brake bleeding I'll get it out of the garage and take another pic in the daylight. |

IIRC the color was supposed to be Brewster, but the paint & body peeps said the paint shop mixed it incorrectly. It still looked great, a Dark Emerald Metallic if you will. It too had blue tone mixed w the emerald. IIRC it was the same Brewster paint code # on the chart, just wrong application. BTW - Yours looks great. How's the ride? |

Thanks again for the compliments.
I can't speak on the ride just yet there are 3 areas I'm trying to address (brake bleed issue, toe-in aglinment and 17"YO hub bore oversize) before the snow hits. Hope to have these all worked out this weekend though. |

Zyman,
The PMD caps do really set the Bandit wheels off- I'm wondering if the Pontiac Chevron caps will work the same way. But the for the meantime the caps that come with the wheels look good enough for me. Geno |

69 gto
I have a 69 gto 15 inch rims. The tires on the front are 215\65\15. I would like to go to a little bit taller tire to fill the wheel opening, say a 225\70\15. The 225 are 27.4 inches tall and the 215 are 26inch high. Would 27.4 be too big around?
