Here's my work in progress. After about 20 miles of short test runs I finally punched it on the highway today. Briefly saw about 8 lbs on the gauge before the car started drifting around and I had to let off. Mini-tubbs, a 6-point bar and some chassis tweaking will soon be in order. Opened up the electric cutouts and punched it... much louder than before. This is gonna be a fun cruiser.

What did you do for a converter with the 4L80E?
How is the trans bolted up?
Thanks Ed

I have a PTC 10" lock-up converter with steel stator and anti ballooning plates. Has a bit too much stall for my current combo (3000 rpm) but once it locks up its fine.

Just your typical air conditioned street car.
Update us with some pics Tom. Please!

Default My budget turbo combo

Has run a lazy 9.40@153mph,still on a soft tune and with a stumble on launch and on the 7000 chip 100ft before the finish line I think it has some potential.

That's a very clean cut on your hood! I'd love to get mine looking that good. Mind if I ask how it was done?

Default power adder

took over a year to get this engine in the car, frame mods and rack and pinion install. Just drove it for the first time to a carshow 10 miles away, made it just fine. 541 engine plus foggers shootin for 1200hp, gonna wait just a little while before I go to the track, need a rest!!!!
