wow, what a compliment. i have tears in my eyes. very very hard to see steve in this condition. i really felt bad saturday when he came out to pull some parts and offered me something to pull a bracket for him and i just laughed it off and then later he was sitting at the pool with my family and he told my wife that he couldnt believe i wouldnt help him because i was busy cleaning my truck. when she told me about it later that night i had to call him and apologize because i thought he had already pulled it and was just joking with me. it still bothers me that i didnt help him.

it is a good lesson to always judge someone on how they deal with you and not what others say about them. the first time steve and i really talked, i traded him a 69 gto ra3 4 speed carousel red non judge body, for a primo set of 69 gto doors. we met at a mcdonalds on the turnpike (steve was living in muskogee and i in broken arrow), you could have cut the tension with a knife as we both thought the other one hated each other. on the other hand it might have been divine intervention so that we didnt end up in prison for life.

Steve,

I will be praying for you.

Brad

But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

He was a selfish silly person; and he let his greed for car parts dictate his behavior. Had Gary and I both not taken the chance and spoken to each other one time just out of hope that we didn’t really hate each other as much as this idiot friend had led us to believe, I would have missed out on a very special person that is now in my life hopefully until my demise.

I now consider Gary to be one of my closest friends and he is certainly a very loyal friend; that is something nearly impossible to find. I also consider all of you here that are concerned invaluable; and any of you are welcome in my home or to receive my help if I could ever give it.
Saying a prayer, Hoog. Its easy for me to say, but stay strong and remember that you have an endless number of shoulders to lean-on.

Steve,
Keep your physical and spiritual strength up during this next round of chemo. As I have said before, chemo is temporary, friends, family and Pontiacs are worth the fight!

I see you and your son are working on a 74 Ventura, perfect time for you to spend with the boys and share some of your knowledge and skills.

I have been blessed with many miracles in my health battles and am praying for yours!

Bill

I was raised in a Christian family and started off to Church at an early age. As probably with many of us; as a young adult I thought I knew it all and could make it on my own strength. As my life went on and I had some problems I found out I was not Superman and eventually came crawling back to God asking for help out of the jam; until at some point I realized I was nothing and started reaching to God from the begin of any given problem instead of at the end of the problem.

My Baptist Church that I was a member of closed it's doors last year; I dearly loved that Church and my heart was broken, so me and my wife are now visiting potential new Churches or traveling to our backup Church down by Warner. This Church by Warner is my favorite but it's a serious drive; Gary has visited me there where I was baptized in an old fashion dunk tank the weekend before my major surgery. I was already baptized as a child but felt in my heart I wanted to do it as an adult and with clear understanding.

So there you have it! And I very much appreciate any prayers that you say in my behalf.

Thank you sir.
here is a picture of steve being baptized that i took. not that it makes it any better, but it is interesting that the preacher baptizing steve is felix jones of the dallas cowboys dad and felix is in the background.
