Here's a '68 GTO I just picked up. I always wanted one of these with the hide-away headlights. Its a nice driver, and I've been driving it every chance I get this summer!

Awesome - brings back memories. It looks just like my first car in high school (1982) ....triple black, hideaways, and cragar s/s big in back, small in front.

Baby got a new pair of shoes!
I put on some new wheels & tires so I took it out for a "photoshoot". I was due for a new screensaver anyway

Amazing what the right set of rims/tires and the right stance can do for a cars appearance - before & after. Thanks John - fun little car!

'68 HO 4 speed convertible
My first born. Alot of blood, sweat & tears with this one. Found it in Montanna with less than 40K miles it. Had been sitting in a barn with '72 tags (that I still have) until '02. Frame off'd and sold it to Volo at '04 Fall Carlisle.

Nice 69! But are you sure that you want the rake and ladders hanging over your Beauty?

I...
like 'em all!!! Including green...but might be partial to red. Just doing them right is what makes them stand out. They all were appealing...when new. All these we did in their original factory hues. No disappointments as far as I'm concerned. Ron

My 69
Numbers matching, rolled off the Arlington Texas assembly line in December of 1968. Sold through Brown Pontiac in Amarillo Texas.
Orginally a YS 400, it's now wearling genuine #722 round ports. I still have the #62's and everything needed to put it back 100% showroom stock if I ever decide I want to, including the non-Safe-T-Track 3.23 10-bolt and factory control arms. Engine details, including dyno sheet, are here: http://www.pontiacstreetperformance....uild461RG.html I'm the third owner (I think) since new and bought the car with my dad while I was attending college in 1975. The frame off resto began in 1985, but I had to put it on hold shortly into the project. It resumed in June of 2008, finsihed "a couple of weeks ago" --if they're ever really finished. Car was originally Palladium Silver with black vinyl top, but the owner prior to me had already repainted it metallic blue. Once I made my mind up to ditch the top, it was easy to decide to take the next step and paint it my favorite color. Bear |
