(Po) put longer bolt in one of Motor mnt. and it broke a small piece off inside
I just got this 75/455 #428 wx block and after going through oven we noticed a spot inside the block that wasn't looking right . What if all else checks out is this something that is possible to repair ? Thanks !! First time I have seen this !!! Thanks

So did a chunk of the block break out of the bottom of the hole and fall into the water jacket?
Or did the tip of the bolt break off and stay in the bottom of the hole?

Which motor mount bolt hole is this and what year and body style car will this motor be used in?

Not Absolutely sure but I think it's the top arrow, near 3rd freeze plug. Not sure what I'll use it in at this point. It was the bottom of the cast that the bolt bottoms out in block .Would have fell into oil pan I believe. The pan was discarded as we took it off .(damaged) Thanks guys

Since it is only exposed to crankcase ventilation gases and oil windage, if you use thread sealant on the bolt you put in the hole you should be fine. If you don’t need that hole for your motor mount style you just still need to have a bolt in the hole.
Alternatively, it would be possible to cast iron weld the opening closed from the back.

Thanks for all the advice on this part of the engine . When I get the word back that it's going to clean up with a .30 over I am looking for a good cam that will work with a using a Holley Street Dominator intake/rebuilt Q/jet and a pair of GTO 1974 350 screw in studs #46 heads already completely redone . Not looking to be a race engine but just a good performance eng.?Thanks for any suggestions !!!

You’ll have to be sure that any small cracks that may have occurred where it broke out ground out and welded correctly so they won’t continue to grow from heat, vibration etc
