Hang in there Tom. Just take it easy and do what the Doc says. You'll recover in time. Don't rush it and you'll be ok. Just remember... the worst part is over.

I can relate a little, did an unscheduled " mod" to my clutch leg ( broke the ball off of the Femur) in January and It has taken time to heal even with therapy. Now I have some Titanium parts but they did not make me any quicker.

Not sure how different knees are from hips but I am happy to say Clutching the the NV 5600 and Muncie is back to same as it ever was, but it did take time.

Hoping For your Quick recovery Tom and back to shifting the four speeds.

Okay, been reading all this good stuff, one question though, how did you mess up your original knee? Remember it's only original once. Oh by the way I'm now 81 and still all original parts. Glad you're doing well Tom just don't break any thing else. Best wishes, Mike

Mine was just Arthritis,bone on bone.If I did not want to continue sking I would have not done it.Lateral movement seemed unstable on the slope.Tom
