I was tempted to tell him to bid up to X dollars and I'd make it worth the while... I've got a power window setup and rally gauge setup for the car in addition to a spare glove box lid and dash\radio setup (not to mention several 455s and a brand new TH400) not to mention all of the same black interior parts in my stash. Being from Ohio though it's hard to justify and the wife would kill me... ;-)

People my age and older all want to see the hobby continue, right?

While this car has a new owner, for those of you with new drivers in the family, why not consider picking something like this up as their first set of wheels?

The thing is pre-emissions, easy to work on, GREAT to teach on, safe as a Brinks truck and nobody's gonna lose a lot of sleep if s/he crashes it.

Just sayin'...

I've got a new driver coming in to the fold in less than 3 years and she's already told me she's just going to drive the wagon if her mom won't let her drive her car... ;-) These cars are perfect for kids starting out and seeing if they can be taught a little respect and pride of ownership.

No airbag.

I get what you are saying and think it would be cool - in fact both of my kids would have loved to have had my Mom's 93 Grand Prix as their first car, but the car has no air bags. I realize it's a different car & not as tank like, but the steering wheel & windshield are still there.

...true, and so are lap and shoulder restraint safety belts.

But to each, his own.

Those of us who are here NOW did, anyway.

BTW, I hope I didn't come off as d!ck about the airbag retort, Boss. (Partly because I am not a parent (I AM a step-parent), my risk-tolerance is obviously much different.)
