Is that the car you had at the downtown Shelton show a couple years ago? If it is, I talked to you about that alternator.
Les.

Yes it is and I also had the white and red 61 Impala and the 64 Catiline Sunfire Red with 15,000 original miles. If I remember correctly your name is Les and you have the 62 Grand Prix, changed the interior to black with 4-speed. Also you told me about the vacuum grease.
I am running the same Delcotron Squirl Cage 62amp alternator on this rig.
Thanks Dan

Here is the Delcotron 62amp alternator on the Ventura. I had to make up the lower bracket as well as the bracket attached to the left side to get the correct spacing. I wanted it to look factory.

Hey Dan,
Checked with a friend about the fan shroud. He says that 60-61 should be the same. Also he thinks that Olds and Cadillac may be the same for a cross reference? Anyone know this for a fact? He will check on Friday with another man who may have one.

John,
Thanks for the help but, the 61 fan shroud is different as well as Caddilac and Oldsmobile. 59 & 60 Pontiac are the only fit.
the first pic is a 59-60 Pontiac fan shroud. The 2nd & 3rd are 61 Pontiac shroud.

Got the body painted last week. I did a base coat clear coat then blocked it out with 1000 and shot 3-more coats of clear today.

Thanks, I pulled off of another project to do this one. I was only going to make a real nice driver but I just kept cleaning and the next thing I knew the body was off.
Yes I am retired so I can dedicate full time to the project and then some.
