A friend told me about them last night.
I told him to order his own PHS to be safe, if he was serious.

The links don't show up using Tapatalk.

That's what I told him last night.

Looks like tag was removed and new or cleaned rivets used. Rivets and tag should be black.

The blue car has a red sticker on air cleaner. Lovely!

Both cars are nice and cleanly done but both have less than concours level of resto... for example the hardtop has non-judge grey grilles, big car seat belts and a incorrect clock. The ragtop sits way too high in back, is missing the rear chrome trim and the body shape looks wrong, probably jobber quarters.

Neat find though, wonder what the story is?

Solid special meant an extra cost color but not two tone paint. To clarify a convertible or a hardtop with a Cordova top could still be ordered with solid special.

Actually I’ve never seen a car with two tone special. It was offered all through the GTO era but I’ve never seen an example. I’ve also wondered if you could order a two tone where both colors were extra cost or was two tone special limited to just one of the colors being extra cost?

The hardtop with the "special paint" on the PHS has code 87 for paint on its trim tag. That would be Windward Blue, a Firebird color in 1969. It's hard to tell from images on a computer whether it's been correctly redone in Windward, though. Liberty and Windward were pretty close...

Nice looking car.

From best i can tell from scanning through all my files,
The hardtop is the first Special Paint 69 Judge i have come across.

The real kicker is that we thought "Special Paint" was supposedly absorbed into the Judge option in 69 with Carousel Red , and in 70 with Orbit Orange.

The 1970 ( * ) Special Paint Judges had no charge for it on their invoices.
So we sort of came to that conclusion.
2 are Goldenrod Yellow (Firebird color)
2 are unknown color

Guess things were a different protocol for 69

Hope these auctions weren't created by the fact that someone "lost" these 2 cars.
That would be a real tragedy to endure.

They both have over 100+ pictures
Near the end of them, the PHS is posted for each car.

Those 69s are sweet!!!

I couldn’t decide which I would want to drive each day?

But, today would be a rip in the liberty blue and parchment 4 speed making lots of noise! Happy 4th

W2/58 (two of them)
WW/58
FF/57
FF/50

I also have one two tone 69 Judge PHS... TA/52

One day left and both cars stalled. Wonder of the vert will break a hundred?

Wow 117,525 for the vert and only 45,040 for the hard top. That hard top was a great buy if you ask me. Mind you there are allot of unknowns regarding both cars and driveline, sheet metal....

That many unknowns make you wonder where the value is...
