Default 1984 Mexican Monte Carlo SS 4-spd

Before you guys berate me for posting a Chevrolet in the thread (keep in mind Wangers has a Ponte Carlo. I wanted to post this rare one year only car on here because this is something you do not see everyday here in the US. This car came up on eBay Motors and is for sale (not mine, but wouldn't mind having in my collection). Note the PONTIAC GRAND PRIX dash board that came installed in these cars.

Also here is link to the commercial in Spanish for these cars found on YouTube. Enjoy!

It looks pieced together. I would not believe it except for the youtube video. I like the US MC SS cars better.

Mexico got a 350, 4 speed SS (sigh), yeah, we got screwed on that one with the 305! Since you brought this up I decided to research it a bit more and it seems legit. I didn't know such a thing existed.

If this car is real, that is just cool. Hard to believe GM wouldn't have offered that 350/4-speed here, people would have gone nuts over that. Yet another GM failure...

Bidding topped out at $1225 USD on a $6500 USD reserve. I guess it is much less interesting to buyers than the seller thought it was.

I researched this rare car about 6 months ago and found some interesting (unconfirmed) information. Mexican Monte SS owners: Hector Gonzalez @ Monte Carlo SS.com (1 thru 9), Oscar Correa's (10), and Jesus Jimenez's (11).
1...Mexican built LM1 350cu. in. w/4 bbl. carb. (190H.P./270FT.LB.TQ.),,,Wikipedia stated (265H.P./350FT.Lb.Tq.). 2...4-speed trans (Sag./T-10 ?) w/hurst shifter. 3...Checkerboard style 14" wheels. 4...No rear spoiler. 5...Different side graphics. 6... Grand Prix interior (blue only, SS embroidered in head rests and pillow bucket seats (?) ). 7...Special steering wheel. 8...Only power locks/manual window combination available. 9...Grand Prix dash w/gauges.
10...Black (satin) outside mirrors & a different style.
11...A Dana 44 rear axle (3.42:1--?).
They did not carry a standard Vin.# (not like U.S.).
They couldn't pass U.S, emission standards
