Default 78-81 Pontiac Motor Mount Brackets

Is there a diference between Late F-Body 3-bolt Pontiac Motor mount Brackets 75-81 and the Brackets used on 78-81 Pontiac 301 a & G Bodies?

I ask as a freind is putting a 400 Pontiac in his 83 Bonneville G Wagon. And I have a set of brackets that are either from a 79 301 powered Firebird, or a 301 Powered 1980 GP. I didn't seem to tag them and now 10 years later can't remember.

The g body brackets are different. They should have part numbers stamped into them. The pic is the mounts from my '80 Lemans 301.

Default time for repro?

recently saw a set of the bird shells for sale on ebay for $100. they were just cleaned up & painted. 2 me this is ridiculous ! isn't it about time for somebody 2 make a repro? there's not much 2 em, so a cheap chinese repro should be a good seller with a reasonable price. or maybe somebody already has em & i'm the last 2 know. do ya'll know of any?

The Fbody one will work but raise the engine higher which is not good since Gbodies are hood clearance limited already.

The Fbody ones have an F stamped on them also.

Give me a reminder in a week or 2, I my have a extra set of Gbody ones. Moving my shop now and can't find a damn thing!!!

I would be interested in a set. I am putting a stroker 400 in a 1986 Grand Prix 2+2.

The F-body and big car ones also make your header situation worse. They appear to be just like the 78-81 G-body mounts until they are side by side. Then you can see the difference. I have a set of Indian Adventures mounts that will allow the use of an early or late block. I need to draw them up in CAD so I could get a few made.
