The # 5 run was just at 4800 rpm and it was at 488 T /360 HP. I was just after a few runs to make sure it's broke in and no problems so if I had some one install it for me we wouldn't have to do it more than once ! I didn't have plans of selling it I actually built it for my own use . I put all the new xtra performance parts in it for strength and durability . I'm sure for a few different parts installed it would be more HP/Tq. so it's built strong enough for additional improvements if desired ! The block # is 485428, 455 bored 30 over (462) completely rebuilt / Line bored/Honed/0 Deck and squared! Internal Parts as follows: SP.030 TRW L 2359 FORGED PISTONS ON RPM FORGED I-BEAM RODS W/ 7/16 ARP CON ROD BOLTS ! COMPLETELY BALANCED WITH NEW HARMONIC BALANCER AND NEW HAYES FLEX PLATE! THE (6X4) HEADS HAVE BEEN TOTALLY REBUILT AND MACHINED FOR POSITIVE VITON SEALS ALONG WITH ENLARGING THE EXHAUST VALVES TO 1.77 /2.11 INT. (STAINLESS STEEL) ! THIS SHOULD END UP WITH A COMPRESSION OF APPROXIMATELY 9.5 TO 1 ! ALSO HAS ALL NEW SPRINGS/ROLLER TIP ROCKERS AND NEW PUSH RODS . THE ONLY PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN REBUILT AND NOT (NEW) IS THE 850 CFM Q/JET AND THE ORIGINAL 455 CRANK THAT WAS RESIZED AND POLISHED ! (NEW BUTLER ) (6 QT ) OIL PAN /DIP STICKS/TUBES W/60# PUMP AND 1 PIECE OIL PAN GASKET /VITON CRANK SEALS./ (RARE) EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. WITH MANDREL BENT DOWN PIPES (FIT 2ND GEN BIRDS AND MANY OTHERS) I ALSO USED THE 1972 STOCK CAST INTAKE FOR EX FLOW AND CORRECT HOOD CLEARANCE FOR FIREBIRD ! THE CAM I USED IS A ELGIN E 980 P /I HAD A 979 IN A PREVIOUS 462 IN MY 76 BIRD AND IT WAS VERY STRONG SO I BUMPED IT UP 1 MORE # ! STILL POWER TO BE MADE WITH UPGRADES TO CAM AND ALUM HEADS WITH A BOTTOM END TO HANDLE IT !!!!! THE PICS SHOW THE ENG .
