Default 1974 gas tank

Looking to buy a new gas tank, would like to know who has done the same and which you used. I know In 75 the fill tube changed and that is the problem. The restriction for the unleaded nozzle.

you can purchase the 1974-78 tank without the neck, and have your neck soldered to the new tank.

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping to find a company that sells the correct tank and neck. or where to get a new neck. I know the restrictor is tack welded in does anyone give you the option of not having it added?

The 1974 cap is a lot different than the 1975-up cap, so the restrictor is not the only issue. The Spectra tanks are fine, if you get one that does not have shipping damage.

The other difference is the tube for the tank vapor that goes to the canister. You will also have to transfer your tube (or make a new one if yours isn't good) to the new tank as well. I had to do this with the new tank for my '74.
