Default 65 gto carb mounting gasket question

installing Carter AFB on intake 9778816

Do I use a 1/4 inch felpro 13834?

I bought it used and owner said he took thin gasket out,
but I don't know what style.

mr gasket 55?

I always use the 3rd one in mine. Helps a little bit with heat isolation. You may need longer carb studs, or back yours out slightly.

8LUGs photo shows the GM gaskets I use. With the GM's the automatic choke heat tubes lined up and fit on the carb correctly. Notice the GM's rivets are slightly "flattened" and "below" the surface thickness of the gasket material so as not to interfere with the gasket material creating a good seal between the carb and the intake manifold. I mention this because years ago I tried an aftermarket gasket and those rivets were "thicker" or "higher" than the gasket material and I had a bad vacuum leak.
