Default Painted front bumper

Anyone have any good pics of 69 Firebirds with the front bumper painted body color? Thinking of doing this when I have my car painted. Thanks in advance.

There are a few on ebay. Here's one.

Personally, I'm not a fan of painted bumpers.

Thanks! I tend to agree with you about painted bumpers on a 67/68, but I think they look really good on a 69 like mine. Thanks again.

Before signing up for the painted program, you can fake it to do a 'test run.' Cover it with masking tape, rattle can over the tape, set it in place, and see what you think.

I know what I think, so I don't need to do it, but it's not my car, so it doesn't matter what I think.

I see quite a few early 70s Roadrunners and GTXs with painted bumpers at local cruise nights and shows. Seems to be a popular thing to do on those Mopars.

When I see a painted bumper that originally was chrome, I think that the owner doesn't have the $$ to re-chrome a poor condition bumper so painting it is a cheaper way out.

I see many 69 Birds with painted bumpers, but the owners always paint the entire grille area black, and I don't think that looks very good. I like our fellow PY members Bird, recently seen at the T/A Nats. Looks fantastic with just the chrome painted body color, and stock grilles. From a distance, it looks like a 70 GTO.

Given the position of the sun and the location of Steve's car, that picture was taken on Friday evening. My car was in that vicinity on Saturday.

I'll admit the 69s do look good with painted bumpers.
