Cliff is the Q-Jet answer man.
He actually answers the phone now. He had a couple of helpers, they left.
Give him your carb number, tell him specifics of your application.
He can send you everything you need. Get the throttle shaft repair kit too.
I converted mine to electric choke, I sure like it!
I also like him to set me up with the proper metering rods and jets.

I talked to Cliff this summer and then ordered a kit for my Q-Jet. Great service and expertise. He sent me a complete kit to fix and recalibrate my carb.

He’s not just a carb expert, his overall mechanical knowledge is excallent. He can really help someone with an engine tuning problem.
I bought a kit and ALL the parts needed for a 71 Chevy pickup carb, this summer. It was originally a pats store reman unit. Had some major issues, he got me pointed I the right direction, although I still need to put a final tune, on it.
Hopefully your carb is a 77-79 unit, those are excellent units, and may take very few modifications to make it awesome!

Main problem with the late 70's smog Q-Jets are lean mixtures for idle circuit and primary side. With all of the available information and parts, this is an easy fix, and makes them almost as care free and easy as fuel injection.
