Default 1980 trans am pace car brake booster color

I have an 80 pace car that I am restoring

Does anyone know the factory color of the brake booster?

Was it that gold cadmium that I see so often?

Thanks

Original '79-81 4 wheel disc boosters were similiar to the dichromate finish one gets from the quality booster restore process. The gold wasn't quite as bright, more of a dull hue, very hard to replicate.

I cant wait either Delivery is scheduled for the 24th. Restoration was around $200. Included was the return shipping cost, about the price of a new/reman unit. I had mine restored because 1. its original to the car, and 2. I had a hard time finding a place that had a replacement unit in stock.

just saw this last question. I sent my booster out the end of September. Got it back in December. Def not quick but I was pleased with the results. White Post restorations do them as well. No idea of the end product, cost or time frame.

Default d or?Back of booster pic

Hi I was hoping that you can provide a picture of the back side of the booster.

I painted mine gold the poor mans fix ( The engine is being rebuilt so I am trying to save some money for now )

When I see the back I can see id the mounting bracket was gold or a different color.

also there is a round plastic part that goes around the upper part of the rod I believe the plastic part was white or natural

As Always thanks again

I will have to go to the shop for sure but I think the mounting bracket is painted. The plastic nipple that the vaccum hose attaches to may have been white. I think my new one is black. But again, I will head to the shop after dinner and check it out for sure.
