Default Stock TH400 Governor 1969 Era Transmission

Hi, just in need of a TH400 stock unmodified governor. If you're not sure on the history of your part, don't reply please as I constantly get burned on this stuff.

I got screwed by a tran's shop here in IL called Atomic that took my stock one for a crap ass modified one and they never fixed their pile after many attempts to get back in.

Thanks

You might be aware that a "stock" governor can have a dozen variations of spring tension and weights depending on gear ratio and desired shift points?
You could need an expert and at least a 1/2 dozen tweaks depending on your goals.
Fortunately, it ain't rocket surgery

Sorry I don't know the stamping, really sucks, they didn't give me it back and I didn't ask for it, so dumb on my end but I didn't think they'd bail on me.

I called Mike at Trans Pro in Lansing IL, wow great guy and really took the time to talk to me.

He had a #14 stamped governor from a 1968 GTO Th400.

Any info on what the governors offered shifting stock?

i would have guessed 17 or 19

13 was typical for big car and some STD GTO

Thanks

So an ink stamped 17 would be higher in rpm shifting than a 14?
