Default Window/Lock/Mirror switch Panel

Well while repairing the broken Hazard light switch yesterday (it took much more effert to remove the radio control panel than all the video's made it look like!)

I managed to push down on the panel in the center console that holds the Power Window, Power Mirror, and Power Locks switches. It is now about 1/8" lower than it should be and moves around. But all the switches operate Normally (unlike the Hazard light switch when in the same condition)

Is this also a common problem? and if so is the repair simalure?

Thanks

Just happened to be testing samples for the GTO and G8 window switches now.

Did the GTO today. At least on this one, there are tabs underneath that could easily break and cause the movement you're talking about.

Same thing happens on the GTO. Must be a Holden thing!

Thanks Eric, I found a couple of Video's on line showing how the top plate comes off, hopefully it will snap off as easy as they show. The hopefully it will just snap back in as they show. I will let everyone know how it goes this weekend when I get a chance to work on it.

It was an easy fix, no tools required, the cover plate around the shifter just snaps out, then the switch panel can be resnapped into place. No tabs were even damaged, It was actually a 5 minute fix.
But not a very good design in my opinion.

Just missed it Jeff.

These are now in reproduction and will be in stock within a month probably.
In both gray and black.

Price will be around $50-60. Well over $100 from GM still!
